What does a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) do?
Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) provide or assist with basic care or support under the direction of onsite licensed nursing staff. CNAs perform duties such as monitoring of health status, feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, or ambulation of patients in a health or nursing facility.Through this program, you will be eligible to become a Certified Nursing Assistant Apprentice. This means that you will receive training and immediately start working at a skilled nursing facility that will ensure you receive thorough training and become skilled in your job. Upon completion of the apprenticeship program, you will receive a Certification of Completion of Apprenticeship by the Department of Labor. This is nationally recognized in all 50 states and is an achievement that you will have as part of your professional portfolio.
